By Deborrah Evans Dorcas

This classic homemade Hard Candy recipe is a sweet treat that’s perfect for sharing, gifting, or enjoying during special occasions. With its vibrant color and bold cinnamon flavor, it’s a timeless favorite that makes about two pounds of candy.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar

  • 2/3 cup light corn syrup

  • 1 gram LorAnn Cinnamon Flavoring

  • LorAnn food coloring

  • Powdered sugar (optional)

How To Make

  1. Mix the sugar and corn syrup in a large saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.

  2. Boil without stirring until the temperature reaches 310°F, or until drops of syrup form hard, brittle threads in cold water. Remove from heat.

  3. After the boiling has ceased, stir in the flavoring and food coloring.

  4. Pour the mixture onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Allow it to cool completely, then break into pieces.

  5. Dust with powdered sugar if desired. Store in airtight containers.

Makes two pounds. Enjoy!
