By Deborrah Evans Dorcas
This classic homemade Hard Candy recipe is a sweet treat that’s perfect for sharing, gifting, or enjoying during special occasions. With its vibrant color and bold cinnamon flavor, it’s a timeless favorite that makes about two pounds of candy.
Ingredients
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup light corn syrup
1 gram LorAnn Cinnamon Flavoring
LorAnn food coloring
Powdered sugar (optional)
How To Make
Mix the sugar and corn syrup in a large saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
Boil without stirring until the temperature reaches 310°F, or until drops of syrup form hard, brittle threads in cold water. Remove from heat.
After the boiling has ceased, stir in the flavoring and food coloring.
Pour the mixture onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Allow it to cool completely, then break into pieces.
Dust with powdered sugar if desired. Store in airtight containers.
Makes two pounds. Enjoy!
